Stéphane CATAYS

PARIS

En résumé

Partner and Head of the Real Estate department at Osborne Clarke Paris.

I have advised investors and corporate clients in the acquisition and disposal of single and multi-asset portfolios of real estate (business premises, hotels, light industrial parks and shopping centres), via share deals, joint ventures and working alongside French notaries on asset deals.

My real estate practice also includes comercial lease work for both investors and tenants for all types of assets, and more generally speaking, all coporate occupier strategy matters. In connection with my real estate work, I have developed a solid knowledge of the hospitality (hotel & restaurants), digital and retail sectors.

I have also extensive experience in domestic and cross-border traditionnal private M&A transactions including acquisitions and disposals of shares and assets, corporate structuring, reorganizations and due diligences, for both financial and corporate clients within a wide range of industries and services sectors (digital, hospitality, retail, telecom, power conversion, food industry, wind farms, transport, etc.). I have advised inbound and national investors and corporate clients on broader corporate and commercial matters.

I have written several press articles both on corporate and real estate topics.

I hold a postgraduate degree in business and tax law (University of Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne - 2004) and graduated from the Paris Bar School in 2005.

The Paris office was ranked in 2016 by Option droit des Affaires and Decideurs Juridiques et Financiers as part of the French leading law firms in Real Estate transactions and lease work.
