Pierre A Blanc has an extensive experience of over 20 years in the field of music. He worked as a manager, a publisher, a label manager, a promoter and a producer. After finishing his studies at ICOGES business school, he began his career being the personal assistant of William Sheller (a famous French artist and composer) for 4years. In 1999 he became the music director of the famous Parisian venue, Le Divan Du Monde where he programmed thousands of bands. In January 2001 Pierre A produced the first concert of Cui Jian in Paris. That’s how he discovered China and got a crush on it. Soon after this concert he decided to go to discover the Middle Kingdom. In 2002 he met Leo de Boisgisson and soon brought his expertise in the field of music to 86/33 LINK. The two decided to firmly establish their activities in China and soon the tiny structure became an important platform for European-Chinese contemporary culture exchanges. In 2004, the duo opened an office for the promotion of music within the French Embassy, called BMA. After this mission, Pierre A Blanc became a partner of Beijing’s iconic live house,YugongYishan and participated to the programming and booking of foreign bands. In 2011 Pierre co founded Kaiguan Culture.
