    2016 - maintenant The Tom Oliver Group provides a variety of services including Management Consulting and Training. Amongst its clients are top global brands and institutions such as Google, Interbrand, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, the World Bank and the United Nations.

    Mission:
    Working directly with clients and the CEO, Tom Oliver, I was responsible for the restructuring of the groups marketing approach and for providing hands-on consulting services in the areas of change management, post M&A integration, intercultural management and innovation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Restructuring of the groups business development strategy
    - Key Account Management
    - Liasing with clients (C-level) for the development of bespoke consulting and training solutions

    Major Achievements:
    - Developed Innovation and Change Management strategies for large companies globally (10,000+ employees)
    - Assisted on the creation and management of local consulting teams for clients in countries facing volatile times (i.e. Philippines and Turkey)
    - Created an Innovation training program touching over thirty thousand employees for one of Asia's largest banks
  • CRMSC Australia Pty ltd - Advisor

    2012 - 2014 CRMSC (Australia) is a joint venture between Cabral Resources Ltd and China Railway Materials Commercial Corporation Group ("CRM"). Reporting jointly to both Cabral Resources' and CRMSC's CEOs, I was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and structuring the Brazilian side of the acquisition of one of the largest iron ore projects in Brazil.

    Key responsibilities
    - Structure a suitable SPV for all parties.
    - Secure the right Brazilian partners for the SPV (a top 20 global contractor).
    - Serve as direct point of contact for the Brazilian side of the SPV.
    - Manage all relevant commercial or regulatory developments.

    Major Achievements:
    - Successfully conceptualised and negotiated a multi-billion dollar deal involving some of the largest corporations in China and Brazil.
    - Safeguarded the interests of our much smaller company.
    - Lobbied and influenced federal government, ensuring regulatory approval and support.
  • Cabral Resources Limited - Country Manager Brazil

    2011 - 2015 Cabral Resources Limited is an Australian Stock Exchange listed company focused on the exploration of Iron Ore projects in the Bahia state of Brazil.

    Mission:
    Reporting directly to Global CEO and Board, I was tasked with establishing and managing the entirety of the company's operations in Brazil.

    Key responsibilities:
    - Act as country CFO with P&L responsibility (circa $5m annual budget).
    - Source, model, perform due-diligence and execute new M&A opportunities.
    - Overseeing in country legal counsel and compliance.
    - Negotiate and manage key contracts.
    - Manage institutional relationships, public relations and media.

    Major Achievements:
    - Created and managed a team of over 60 employees and over 100 contractors while ensuring a healthy work culture and environment, with extremely low employee turnover.
    - Lead multiple M&A processes and capital raisings.
    - Negotiated numerous tax exemptions and benefits.
    - Successfully lobbied for changes protecting junior mining companies within the new Brazilian Mining Code, including speeches at both State and Federal Congress.
    - Maintained a pristine Environmental and OH&S record with operations in tens of different remote locations.
  • Cabral Resources Pty Ltd - Founding Director

    2010 - 2011 Cabral Resources was a company I started with the idea of acquiring mining projects in Brazil and delivering them to international markets. The company was subsequently acquired by RIM Capital (now named Cabral Resources Limited), an ASX listed company, on February 2011.

    Key responsibilities:
    - Source and acquire option rights to a suitable project in Brazil.
    - Liaise between the Australian and Brazilian team.
    - Brief the partners with critical information such as regional risks, cultural barriers and political insight.

    Major Achievements:
    - Negotiated the terms of the backdoor listing through RIM Capital.
    - Took Cabral Resources from idea to AUD65 million market cap in 11 months.
    - Raised AUD25 million.
  • Magellan Capital Advisors Pty Ltd - Executive Director

    2009 - 2011 Magellan Capital Advisors is a boutique capital advisory firm based off Perth, WA, specializing in business sales, private equity, and corporate advisory.
    In this position I was involved in M&A projects in the Energy, Technology, Telecommunications and Natural Resources sectors in various countries such as: Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Serbia, Libya and Brazil.
  • Magellan China Pty Ltd - Senior Consultant - Business Development

    2009 - 2010 Magellan China is a company specializing in supporting businesses (especially in the high-tech sector) that want to establish subsidiaries or manufacturing operations in China, focusing on the Wuxi and Yixing region.
    In this role, I was one of the principal prospectors for new opportunities while also acting as Key Account Manager for some of the largest clients.
  • Prandini & Rabbat Associates Financial Products - Systems analyst

    2005 - 2007 PR&A was a leading financial service provider based off Sao Paulo, Brazil specializing in creating custom financial risk management systems for Brazil's largest banks and corporations. In this position I was responsible for designing and programming these systems, as well as providing support for legacy applications in various banks.
