Conducted strategic and business development plans, supply chain solutions design, business process creation and cost calculations. Set up logistics services including warehousing, distribution and international transportation. Also handled promotional activities, account acquisition and implementation.
• Starting from zero, attained sales in Latin America in excess of USD 50m within three years with a total workforce of approximately 400 employees, direct supervision of up to 40 in several countries;
• Initiated and finalized major acquisition in Brazil;
• Developed extensive business plan for start up of joint venture with The Exxel Group (#1 Latin America investment fund) generating USD 30m sales in Argentina and with development potential in the Mercosur region;
• Established and managed own operations in Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela; and

PROJECT DIRECTOR LATIN AMERICA (APRIL-SEPTEMBER 1996) Bogotá, Colombia
Conducted a six-month project (global logistics market potential analysis in the Andean region) and formulated a development strategy for Latin America. Gained important clients in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Panama. Conceived, organized and led a Logistics Process Reengineering workshop in Bogotá.
LOGISTICS PROJECTS MANAGER (1994-1996) Basel, Switzerland
At the Swiss/Austrian Central Management office, created from scratch a Logistics Projects Department aimed at offering logistics consulting, retaining existing and attracting new key accounts. Developed global concept and corresponding tools including brochures and software. Spoke at professional trade shows and conferences; lectured at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) Lausanne. Actively represented Danzas at the EAN (European Article Numbering Association) transportation task force.
